I started this blog during the 2010 election, between the political attack ads, doom and gloom headlines, and Sarah Palin quotes, I just couldn't take it anymore.
My first day as a blogger found me angry, frustrated, and disillusioned. I was worried that it would be impossible to find any success stories to write about. After months of hearing that the stimulus was a failure, the country was never coming back, and the health care bill sucked, I started to believe it.
Much to my amazement, finding the stories was not a problem. Finding time to post them and trying to figure out a way to effectively organize the site has been the challenge. Stories of good ideas that work are everywhere, they just don't seem to be on the 6 o'clock news. There are so many examples of common sense, hard work, generosity, and sensible legislation I wish I could quit my job and just blog all day.
Today I am hopeful, proud, and confident. Each day I have the joyous task of sharing the country's accomplishments with my readers. Posting these stories and thinking about them all day, brings me great joy, it’s like carrying around sunshine. I hope this blog can give you a daily dose of optimism and provide reasons to be hopeful.
