Report: US exports to China outpace rest of the world


Nearly all congressional districts showed higher growth in exports to China last year than they did to all other markets around the world. 
All told, 420 out of 435 had improved growth to China, according to a report by the U.S.-China Business Council.
"China is the third-largest U.S. export market and continues to provide growing opportunities for U.S. businesses, whether large or small,” USCBC Vice President Erin Ennis said.

US Consumer Confidence Surges To 65.9, Ending Four Months Of Decline

U.S. consumer confidence surged above expectations in July and ended four consecutive months of decline, new data from the Conference Board shows.

The key sentiment index, which blends both current conditions and consumer expectations, advanced to 65.9 in July from a revised 62.7 a month earlier.

Economists had largely expected a decline of 50 basis points to 61.5.
