A new report on the state of the solar industry in America indicates that despite a global oversupply and a potential trade war with China, the U.S. solar industry had its second-best quarter ever in terms of installations, during the first quarter of 2012.

Roughly 6.6 million young adults below the age of 26 were able to join their parents' health insurance plans in 2011 because of the health care reform law signed by President Obama,
reported Bloomberg.
A survey conducted by Commonwealth Fund, a New York-based nonprofit, showed that the part of the law that lets young people stay on their parents' plans until the age of 26 led to the largest single year increase in medical coverage for the age group, according to Bloomberg.

Tens of millions of new jobs can be created around the world in the next two decades if green policies are put in place to switch the high-carbon economy to low-carbon, the UN has said. Between 15 million and 60 million additional jobs are likely, according to
a new report from the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP). These are net gains in employment for the world economy, taking into account any job losses in high-carbon industries that fail to transform.
