LOS ANGELES—The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power says the final support pole has been placed on a 10 megawatt solar array in the Mojave Desert, and the plant is expected to begin delivering energy to the city by summer.
LADWP said in a statement Wednesday that construction is ahead of schedule on the plant in Adelanto of Los Angeles, and it's expected to produce an average of 20,000 megawatt hours per year for 25 year.
