We're Hiring :: Hissho Sushi

Being the guest of the First Lady as President Obama delivered his American Jobs Act speech to a Joint Session of Congress, was a bit surreal for Philip Muang. He was being touted for "his visionary leadership in tough economic times," when only 13 years ago, he didn't even have a company to lead.

Back in 1998, he and his family sat around their dining room table, talking over plans to start what would eventually become Hissho Sushi.

Renewable energy surpasses fossil fuels in new power-plant investments

Electricity from the wind, sun, waves and biomass drew $187 billion last year compared with $157 billion for natural gas, oil and coal, according to calculations by Bloomberg New Energy Finance using the latest data. Accelerating installations of solar- and wind-power plants led to lower equipment prices, making clean energy more competitive with coal. 
“The progress of renewables has been nothing short of remarkable,” said  UN Environment Program Executive Secretary Achim Steiner. “You have record investment in the midst of an economic and financial crisis.”

New Faces at OFA Florida

Every day since joining the campaign as an organizer in Miami I’ve been more and more fired up because there are so many new faces down here.

It’s inspiring to have people walk right off the street into our campaign office because they want to volunteer or register to vote for the very first time. I’ve been posting photos of these supporters to my Twitter account because it’s a great way to show the energy that we have in South Florida.
