The most effective way to get the attention of the "Giant Banks" is to withdraw $$ and move it to a "Local Bank". Consider doing this for your personal checking, savings, investments & credit cards.

We encourage you to take it even further. Are you a member of a large group such as a union or professional organization? Contact your leadership and encourage them to move their money out of the "tax dodging" banks and into local banks.

If you work in a job where you make decisions about where your employer's money is deposited check out the services offered at a local bank and see if your employer can get a better deal locally.

If you can't give up the convenience of a large bank that has ATMs and branches nationwide, consider a "partial move". Keep a travel or business account at a large bank with the minimum required balance, then when you take a trip you can move money into that account. This allows you to support you local banks and the small businesses they loan $$ to while keeping the convenience of a large bank.

When you withdraw $$ make sure you speak to the manager or assistant manager and let them know why you are withdrawing your money.
