Stimulus: New Facilities for High Concentrating Solar Panels

Amonix makes large high‐concentrating solar panels the size of tractors. Their systems use less water, utilize land better, and produce more energy per acre than other solar technologies. The company is commercializing solar technologies first developed for space.

The company is launching two new Amonix factories in Las Vegas, Nevada and Phoenix, Arizona. It is paying for the expansion with a $5.9 million 48C tax credit from the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act and $12 million from private investors.
