Stimulus: Norwalk Community Health Center’s can now serve more patients

The new health center will move one mile north to 120 Connecticut Ave. in early April. The new health center will more than double in size, enabling physicians to meet the growing needs of a medically underserved community.

The $2.9 million project received $1.3 million in federal stimulus dollars to support the cost of hiring new staff and expanding the size of the facility.

The vast changes at NCHC are perfect examples of the American Recovery Reinvestment Act being put to work, said Congressman Jim Himes, D-4.
