Stimulus: Connecticut municipalities implement energy efficient upgrades

Governor M. Jodi Rell  announced that 121 small and mid-sized municipalities will share in $6.7 million in federal stimulus funds to help pay for energy efficiency projects that will ultimately lower costs to local taxpayers.
“These smart investments that municipalities make now will pay for themselves in the long run,” Rell said.

Litchfield will receive a $50,000 grant to replace an aging heating burner at Center School, thanks to the federal stimulus funding.
